Provincial Minister for Works and Services and Prisons Sindh Ali Hassan Zardari paid a detailed visit to the under-construction New Chief Minister Secretariat Building in Karachi, where he inspected various blocks, floors and construction sections and reviewed the ongoing development progress.

During the visit, the concerned officers briefed the Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zardari about the various phases of the project, construction materials used, quality of finishing and the stipulated completion period.

Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zardari expressed satisfaction with the quality of construction work, however, he expressed deep concern over the delay in the overall progress and slow pace in some areas.

Issuing clear instructions, he said that this project of the Chief Minister Secretariat holds a central position in the administrative functioning and governance structure of the provincial government, therefore any delay in it is unacceptable.

Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zardari ordered the concerned officers to immediately remove all obstacles, increase the pace of work and complete the project within the stipulated period without compromising on the quality of construction.

Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zardari further said that transparency, quality work and timely completion in construction projects are among the top priorities of the provincial government, and all departments are being held accountable to ensure the implementation of this policy.

On this occasion, Secretary Works and Services Muhammad Nawaz Soho was also with the provincial minister who presented a detailed briefing on the ongoing construction activities, feasibility stages and upcoming PC-1 updates.

Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zardari directed the concerned team to submit progress reports on a daily basis and continuously monitor all levels of work at the construction site.

At the end of the visit, Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zardari also assured the entire staff that negligence or laziness will not be tolerated in projects of public and government interest, and the Sindh Works and Services Department is taking all possible steps for the timely completion of construction projects.
